NBA Rankings, Part 7

And NBA Rankings, too!!

#30 Chicago Bulls (5-19, -9.6, LW:  29)

#29 Atlanta Hawks (5-19, -10.9, LW:  30)

#28 Phoenix Suns (4-19, -10.7, LW:  28)

#27 Cleveland Cavaliers (5-18, -7.9, LW:  27)

#26 New York Knicks (8-17, -5.5, LW:  26)

#25 Brooklyn Nets (8-17, -2.4, LW:  23)

#24 San Antonio Spurs (11-12, -2.9, LW:  19)

#23 Sacramento Kings (11-11, -2.8, LW:  22)

#22 Utah Jazz (11-13, -2.3, LW:  25)

#21 Washington Wizards (10-14, -5, LW:  21)

#20 Portland Trail Blazers (13-10, +1.3, LW:  20)

#19 Miami Heat (9-13, -1.4, LW:  24)

#18 Orlando Magic (11-12, -2.3, LW:  18)

#17 New Orleans Pelicans (12-13, +1.4, LW:  16)

Anthony Davis is putting up a 28/13/5 for a team hovering around .500.  He is signed through next season with a player option worth almost $29 million in 2020-21.  If I’m the Pelicans I’m figuring out if I can move him and rebuild.  He’s a great player, but you also aren’t getting anywhere with him.

#16 Houston Rockets (11-12, -0.3, LW:  17)

#15 Charlotte Hornets (11-12, +3.7, LW:  13)

#14 Memphis Grizzlies (13-9, +1.3, LW:  7)

#13 Golden State Warriors (16-9, +4.9, LW:  12)

#12 Los Angeles Lakers (14-9, +1.7, LW:  8)

LeBron James is the best basketball player I’ve ever seen.  That being said, he’s not good for a young team, especially at this age.  He wants to win now and this Laker team needs to develop their young players.  How long will LeBron go with the development?  We don’t know the answer, but a reasonable answer would be “not long”.

#11 Indiana Pacers (13-10, +3.5, LW:  6)

#10 Dallas Mavericks (11-10, +2, LW:  10)

#9 Detroit Pistons (13-8, +1, LW:  8)

#8 Minnesota Timberwolves (12-12, -0.2, LW:  15)

#7 Boston Celtics (13-10, +4.4, LW:  14)

#6 Los Angeles Clippers (16-7, +4.8, LW:  4)

#5 Philadelphia 76ers (17-8, +2.4, LW:  11)

#4 Milwaukee Bucks (15-7, +10.1, LW:  2)

#3 Oklahoma City Thunder (15-7, +7.4, LW:  3)

The Thunder finished up the month of November third in the West and did that without Michael Westbrook for a third of it.  With Golden State very good but now mortal and Houston falling backwards, OKC has a golden chance to sneak into the conference finals or even the NBA Finals.

#2 Denver Nuggets (16-7, +7.5, LW:  5)

#1 Toronto Raptors (20-5, +8.3, LW:  1)

Honestly, today I put a ton into the College Football Money Grab, so, that’s really all today . . .
