Again, these rankings are based on the won-loss record and run differential over the whole season, the last 10, 20, and 30 days. This will start becoming a weekly feature on the site.

Also, for those not familiar with my Sidorski Score, it is a rage scale for a sacrifice bunt. Simply the scale goes from 5 through 50; the higher the score the dumber the bunt (and the angrier I’ll be). So you’ll be seeing my scores here monthly. This season:

Monthly Totals
Month G SH SH/G ASS WPA RE24
March 38 11 0.14 28.64 -0.22 -2.68
April 370 124 0.17 28.03 -0.34 -7.81
Totals 408 135 0.17 28.08 -0.56 -10.49

Teams are currently on pace to record 804 sacrifice hits (sac bunts) this season, the lowest total ever. Just some other notes:

ASS is Average Sidorski Score, WPA is Win Probability added, meaning that teams have reduced their chances of winning by about 56%. RE24 is Run Estimation for the 24 Base-Out situations, meaning teams have cost their teams about 10-11 runs this year.

More fun stuff to come . . .
