The Talk Back Fans Watch Guide

By Danny Boyce

After Tuesday night’s show I figured a fun way to take my battle with insomnia head on was to give everyone links to the games and moments the guys were talking about.  Enjoy all or one or a few or a couple or . . . JUST ENJOY!! SPORTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!!!

Here is the 1971 All-Star Game, a loaded one as Pat said.  Twenty-six Hall of Fame players, managers, umpires, and announcers were involved in the game. (Pat)

The Marathon by the Lake, the Browns/Jets clash in January of 1987.  Double OT, they tried to blow it at the end of regulation, but somehow pulled off. (Danny/Pat)

Seattle led 14-2.  Then the Tribe started to hit . . . (Fans pick)

I skipped my final for this game.  It was worth it.  Tony Fernandez with the game winner. (Danny)

The Notre Dame/Florida State game started the best pregame show in the business, ESPN College Game Day. (Terry)

Rock Around the Strock.  Yes, there was a song. (Pat)

The Catholics vs. The Convicts.  This game was a classic. (Air)

Texas Tech vs. Texas The game that made Texas Tech #1. (Alex)

Notre Dame vs. Kentucky in the regional final in 2015 (Alex)

Duke Kentucky 1992 is the greatest college basketball game I’ve ever seen (Danny)

Here are highlights of the Notre Dame snapping of UCLA’s winning streak.  Wish the game was there.  (Terry)

Here’s BoiseState/Hawaii for Alex.

And here’s the Browns/Lions fiascoEnjoy at your own risk. (Alex)

Here is the Miracle on Ice.  If you don’t get chills, you’re not human (all of us).

And for good measure Here’s the clincher against Finland.  (all of us).

Here’s the final round of the 1986 Masters. (Air)

Here is Ohio State/Miami in the Fiesta Bowl (Fans)

A classic Game 7 between the Rangers and Devils (Danny)

Phi Slamma Jamma vs. Louisville in what everyone thought was the national championship game.  Too bad Houston had to play on Monday night. (Air)

And since there was some Pete Rose talk, here is that memorable night in 1985. He’ll always have that.  And this (yes, that’s Mel).  And this (notice the film glitch near the end where Pete puts his arm around Joe Morgan, then they go to Morgan without Pete’s arm around him).

Enjoy!
